Young Explorers Pre-School was established in 2012 and is located on the St. Dunstan's School site. Young Explorers is a privately run independent sessional pre-school, open from 08:45am-3:15pm, providing high quality care & education, for children aged 2years and 9months to school age.  YEP is situated in a secure and stimulating environment.  We promote positive partnerships with parents and carers to support individual learning.

Areas of Learning & Development

Children develop quickly in the early years, and early years practitioners aim to do all they can to help children have the best possible start in life. Every child is a unique child who is constantly learning and developing and eventually will gains skills of resilience, capabilities, an abundance of confidence & self-assurance to take away with them on their next learning journey.

EDUCATION

Your child will learn in a safe, warm and accepting environment. Our atmosphere enables children to respect themselves and others. Through diverse creative experiences, we enhance children’s ability to socialize with others, be creative, express themselves, develop confidence and further their knowledge by learning through play.

Out door learning environment

Play areas are important for children, giving them a space for pretending, expressing and imagining themselves. Play areas promote thinking, problem solving, and turn taking, and help children learn and develop skills in all areas of learning. Of course, play areas are also important for developing physical dexterity and good health.

Our activities of Learning & Development

Within our setting we have adopted a mixed of 'Planning in the moment', and structured activities, our activities are carefully crafted to meet the development needs of the each and every child. Our early educators and support staff are highly professional and trained to high standards.
